Modern systems — one concept
Slides
A slide is a deliberately held mental image of the desired situation, rehearsed until it stops feeling foreign. The emphasis falls on repetition and on the image feeling ordinary rather than longed for.

In Russian. слайд — the original term; English and Polish editions do not always render it the same way.
Where the idea comes from
Mental rehearsal is a real and studied technique, used in sport and in clinical work for anxiety. The system's particular instruction is that the image should be ordinary rather than triumphant: the scene as routine, not as victory.
What you can actually check
Effects on your own performance and anxiety are checkable and documented. Effects on the world beyond your own behaviour are not established and this site does not claim them.
What it does not settle
This is visualisation, and it has a documented psychological literature that the books do not engage. Whether the image acts on the world or on the person holding it is exactly the question left unaddressed.

Fair questions
What is a slide in Reality Transurfing?
A rehearsed mental image of a situation, deliberately imagined as already normal rather than as a triumph. The instruction is to remove the specialness from the picture.
Do slides actually work?
Mental rehearsal has real effects on performance and on anxiety, which is what you can check. Anything beyond your own behaviour is a separate claim.
