Tufti the Priestess

Tufti the Priestess is the later turn in Vadim Zeland’s work, published by IG Ves in 2017 or 2018; the catalogues and the author’s own school give different years. It changes the claimed source of the knowledge, and that change is the interesting part.

The claim

Tufti is presented as a priestess of the temple of Isis in Egypt between 970 and 911 BCE, described by the publisher as not an invented character, and by the author as information that simply came to him. A second book in the same line, Priestess Itfat, followed in 2018.

The pattern

This is the second time the system names a source outside its author. In the second step, published in 2004, the knowledge was credited to a keeper met in a dream. Now it is credited to a named figure with dates three thousand years back. The structure is the same one the Kybalion built in 1908: the content is attributed to someone who cannot be asked for evidence. We could not establish whether the author himself links the keeper and Tufti.

What can be checked

We found no independent historical source for a priestess called Tufti or Itfat. We did not search the Egyptological literature exhaustively, so this is an open question rather than a finding. What can be said is that the dates, the name and the temple are given without a source, and that a precise date range without a source is exactly the kind of precision this site exists to question.

What this does not settle

Whether the practical content is useful, which is a separate question from where it is said to come from. An idea can be worth trying and still have an invented pedigree. The two are different properties, and the pedigree is the one we can check.

It is a later turn in the same author’s work that changes the claimed source of the knowledge, from a keeper met in a dream in the 2004 second step to a named priestess with ancient dates.
